DJI Launches Gimbal Camera "Osmo Pocket 4P" — Unlocking Cinematic Potential from Close-ups to Wide Shots

DJI's latest pocket gimbal camera, the Osmo Pocket 4P, launched on Monday, June 29, 2026. It features a groundbreaking dual-lens system and a new 1-inch CMOS sensor, supports color profiles that record over a billion colors, and faithfully reproduces light and shadow for beautiful image quality. Beyond its cutting-edge technology, it comes in two refined colorways: a subdued yet powerful Classic Black, and a fresh, striking Pearl White.

The dual-lens setup lets you capture everything from sweeping cityscapes to delicate portraits with cinematic quality. The main camera uses a newly designed 1-inch CMOS sensor paired with a 35mm-equivalent 20mm f/2.0 wide-angle lens. Thanks to advanced LOFIC technology, it achieves an unprecedented 17 stops of dynamic range and supports video recording up to 4K/240fps — professional-grade filmmaking capability usually found in high-end cinema cameras, ideal for high-contrast scenes like city nightscapes, sunsets, or backlit portraits.

A newly added high-resolution, large-aperture 60mm mid-telephoto lens hits the classic focal length for portrait photography, with 3x optical zoom and up to 12x total zoom. Its f/1.8 aperture (equivalent to f/6.3 depth of field) compresses the background nicely, making subjects stand out with beautiful bokeh — combined with camera movement, it creates striking cinematic footage.

Elevating video expression with new creative inspiration

The Osmo Pocket 4P can shoot up to 8x high-detail slow motion at 4K/240fps even in fast-moving scenes — adding a sense of time slowing down to dynamic moments like spinning subjects, flowing hair, or falling snow. Shooting video with a slow shutter also lets you capture light trails and motion blur, or express the passage of time through motion residue, opening up unique visual storytelling possibilities.

Combining the new 10-bit D-Log 2 color profile with 17 stops of dynamic range reproduces rich detail from highlights to shadows, delivering footage comparable to high-end cinema cameras. The 10-bit color depth records over a billion colors, resulting in extremely smooth tonal gradation and much greater freedom for color grading in post-production. Packed into a remarkably compact 230g body, the advanced 3-axis mechanical gimbal delivers consistently smooth, stable footage. The upgraded ActiveTrack 8.0 keeps people, vehicles, pets, and even subjects with changing shapes centered in frame, even at 12x zoom. With automatic framing, the camera can prioritize tracking registered subjects or keep multiple subjects centered at any focal length. This is built on DJI's proven track record in professional filmmaking, including its Academy Award– and Emmy-winning Ronin stabilization system.
