You have to take a creepy old elevator or climb a winding outdoor staircase, walk past old metal roofs and local kitchens, and enter a vintage space with just three wooden tables. The view looks directly at the Notre-Dame Cathedral. It is incredibly peaceful and perfect for moody, vintage portraits.

Located above a moody Chinese restaurant (DẠ夜), this rooftop feels like 1990s Hong Kong reimagined. To get there, you take a hidden stairway from the quiet restaurant below. Suddenly, you are partying under the stars with great house music and creative drinks like pandan-infused gin. It is playful, raw, and incredibly cool for flash-photography lifestyle shots.

Travel Mistakes To Avoid in Saigon

1. Don't trust Google Maps blindly in alleyways: Saigon is full of "Hẻm" (alleys). Maps get confused. Follow your local guide.
2. Don't hold your phone out loosely near the street: Drive-by phone snatching is a real thing. Keep your phone secure when walking near traffic.
3. Don't be afraid of the plastic chairs: The best food in Vietnam is served by an old lady on a tiny plastic stool on the sidewalk. Eat there.
