In the hustle and bustle of daily life, it is incredibly easy to delay our own happiness. We often tell ourselves, "I'll enjoy myself when I finish this project," or "I'll travel when I have more time." But life is happening right now.
Inspired by Kana Oya's column in GENIC, this is a reminder to stop putting off your joy.
Photography is the ultimate tool for grounding yourself in the present. When you look through the viewfinder, you are forced to focus on what is right in front of you—the light, the colors, the expressions.

We often wait for the perfect weather, the perfect outfit, or the perfect location to take a photo or book a couple photoshoot in Vietnam. But perfection is an illusion. The raw, unfiltered moments of everyday life—the messy hair, the spontaneous laughter, the cloudy skies—are what truly make a photograph beautiful and meaningful.
As a photographer in Ho Chi Minh City, I always encourage my clients to embrace their authentic selves. You don't need a grand occasion to celebrate your life or your relationships.
Whether it is picking up a camera to explore street scenes in Saigon, taking a weekend trip, or simply enjoying a slow afternoon at one of the best local cafes, prioritize the things that make you feel alive. Your future self will thank you for the memories you chose to create today.
